Reller, a native Montana artist originally from the Bozeman area, holds an art degree from Montana State University and has taught for over thirteen years in three different countries.
Growing up in South Western Montana where fishing and wildlife were a part of his everyday life afforded him a personal perspective and relationship with nature that he seeks to convey through his work.
“As a landscape artist my goal is to stir emotion and thought in the viewer, not necessarily depict a scene photographically. It is that emotional response to and not the scene itself that connects us.”
In 2006 Reller was juried into the prestigeous 'Western Design Conference' in cody WY and has also held solo or joint shows at the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center near Ft. Mandan N. Dakota, at the Lewistown and Custer Co. Art Centers, the Livingston Center for Art and Culture, and an installation and workshop at the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls Montana.
His recent piece ‘Clark at Pompey’s Pillar’ was selected to appear on the 2006 Nemont Telephone Directory, calendars, and related merchandise.
