Stephen is a fourth generation Montanan whose life in the rural west has shaped his art. He has worked in the ranching, timber and reclamation industries as well as many others. He blends his experiences with his degree in Biology and understanding of form to create these truly unique and wonderful sculptures. The wood he uses is cut from standing dead trees and salvage logs, and treated using natural linseed oil to ensure a lasting preservation.
