My work is primarily pastels with an emphasis on figures and landscapes. I am self taught and came to art since my sons are now adults. I'm very drawn to the open spaces of the prairies, to anything that is a series or pattern, whether it's objects or people, and abstract shapes derived from realistic objects. Am also doing some acrylic landscapes and more abstract works in acrylics as well, which presents a whole new learning curve.
