In 2006, he completed 17 weeks of intensive training in all phases of photography at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography (RMSP) in Missoula, MT. In addition, he has studied with nature photographer David Middleton and has taken college classes in Wedding and Portrait photography. Randy is a member of the North American Nature Photographers Association and an associate member of the photo stock agency World of Stock. In 2007, he won first place in the Montana Wildlife Federation Photo contest. Randy lives in Choteau, Montana, and is a member of the Choteau Chamber of Commerce. He is currently showing his landscape and wildlife prints at Latigo & Lace in Augusta, and in Choteau at Wings and Wild Things. Potential photographic projects include the nature of eastern Montana and a photographer’s site guide to eastern Montana. Geographic areas of photographic interest include the eastern front of the Rocky Mountains, the Missouri Breaks region and the northern plains of North America. Randy uses Nikon digital cameras and lenses and Bogen tripods and heads. He uses Adobe Photoshop CS3 to process digital files, for photograph restoration, and to create and maintain his website.
