Melody Schultz has been residing in Montana for the past 30 years.
She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in education from Valley City State University in North Dakota in 1972. Melody taught science in North Dakota and Montana. She has taken several undergraduate and graduate art courses throughout her lifetime.
Melody recently retired from teaching at the Hardin Middle School in Hardin, Montana.
The artist has been motivated to paint watercolors while camping and hiking in the many beautiful areas of Montana and Wyoming. She has learned to love the beauty of the backcountry and believes in treading lightly.
Melody and her husband, LeRoy,raised two children and hosted three foreign exchange students. "We have taken great pride in showing Montana's beauty when traveling throughout the state."
Melody has a note card and greeting card business that she operates from her home office.
Her watercolor paintings include natural settings, seasonal designs, along with Native American and western designs.
