Matthew Schreiner, a lifelong resident of Hardin, Montana was born in 1987 and has always had an interest in wildlife art. Matthew graduated from Hardin High School and is currently attending Montana State University-Billings majoring in art. He has won numerous awards including three time winner of the Montana Junior Duck Stamp Contest (2003-2005). The artist has been hunting with his father since the age of three. From turkey hunts in 60 degrees to goose hunting in 30 below zero, he loves nothing more than hunting the great outdoors. Matthew’s acrylic paintings portray the wildlife with bold colors and extreme details. His charcoal drawings are also realistic, detailed portraits with bold contrast. When Matthew is not in the studio, he is likely somewhere along the Bighorn River cranking on the duck call or shooting photos of the birds.
