I came into this world August 5th, 1981 in the small town of Deer Lodge, Montana. My parents Kevin and Denise, are both artistic, Art came natural to me. Throughout my childhood I lived in many locations of Southwestern Montana. Most of which, in Anaconda, where I graduated high school. From there, I attended college at Montana State University to study Architecture. Although, I never received a degree, I feel that I am well educated in Art and Architecture, both of which are very important to me. I will continue to pursue my dreams of success in both careers.
My Art philosophy is Truth, however simple or complex the Truth. I capture my personal and social thoughts of Truth through my artwork. Most of my Art is scenes of Montana with abstract concepts. I feel that Art is not so much how one expresses, but rather what is expressed.
I paint with sticks, toothpicks, cardboard, etc… I use these tools mostly because I hate cleaning oil paints out of brushes. More importantly, the objects are a means of capturing the texture of the subject matter. Texture is very important to my artwork, and that is why I paint with Oils in a sculpting manner.
