Harry Koyama, a lifelong resident of Hardin, Montana was born in 1949 and has always had an interest in art. Harry graduated from Hardin High School and studied art at Montana State University-Billings earning a Bachleors Degree as an extended art major. The artist's steel sculpture has been shown and collected extensively and has twice been honored with the Harry Jackson Award for sculpture.
Harry's oil painting reflects an attraction to the use of bold color and interesting texture and the painting knife is a basic tool for his work. His love of impressionism has resulted in paintings which stir the imagination. Memberships include the Oil Painters of America and the Oil Pastel Society with gallery representation in Montana and Wyoming. Harry Koyama Fine Art Studio-Gallery, located in the Historic District in Billings, Montana is the artist's working studio and visitors are always welcome.
