Finding beauty in the symmetry and structure of living things is inherent in all of us, and Gina is moved to express this beauty in her work. She currently works with colored pencil,graphite,watercolor and acrylic paints,and mixed media, on paper,illustration board and fabric. Her pieces almost always include images of plants, insects, and wildlife - birds are among her favorite subjects. She has done illustrations for learning aids, books, brochures and other publications,and has created logos and indoor natural resource interpretive displays. In addition to being an illustrator and painter, Gina incorporates her love of the beauty of the natural world into fiber art. Working with fabric, beads, threads and other embellishments,and often incorporating non-traditional materials and techniques in the manipulation of fabric, Gina interprets the natural world in a three-dimensional medium. She has participated in several local shows and sales and has had her work on display in local venues. Several of her pieces are in private collections, in and out of state. Gina is a Montana native and holds a degree in Fine Arts - Printmaking from Montana State University.
