I am a blackmith working out of bozeman. My work ranges from custom railing to one off sculpture. I began forging metal in middle school while living in Switzerland. From the moment I felt hot steel under my hammer I knew Blacksmithing was something I wanted to pursue. Many years down the road I find myself just ad excited about my work as I was when I took my first hammer swing. Any craft is a life time practice and i completely look foward to the continuation of my practice in addition to passing on to whoever may be interested what i have learned throughout my experience. I owe a good bit of my knowledge to a very respected and increadibly knowledgeable British Smith by the name of Mark Aspery who I was a student of , in addition to Daniel Miller who i apprenticed with. I have been working as a Blacksmith for 6 years. I like to explore and express human emotion and form in my work, love, anxiety, anger, and family are all such powerfull things in the human life. They hold the ability to do great good or great evil, oftem emotion and idea help to inspire my creative process. Steel holds a certain permanence that motivates me to do my best, so when I'm not around my work will continue to serve it purpose.
