I discovered silk painting, quite by accident, which was very exciting to me as I have done watercolor and oil for many years One of my favorite subjects is flowers with their wonderful shapes, colors and varieties and they are a large part of my work. I get most of my ideas for paintings from nature, gardens, reference material and the photos I have taken. One of my latest achievements is having three paintings accepted in the National Juried Silk Show in Olney,Md. My work has been showcased at the Ah-So Japanese Restaurant in Scottsdale, Az. I was also a featured artist in the 2005 Art Life, Az a publication for all art in Az. Quilting is a new endeavor but I have sewn all my life and has been a natural extension of my creativity. My inspiration comes from the challenge of making lovely one of a kind heirlooms.
