Clint Long of Missoula has had varied assignments. He was the District Counselor, Area Career Coordinator, Director of Testing and baseball coach.

Born in Pennsylvania, Mr. Long migrated to Montana where he received his Bachelors and masters degrees at the University of Montana. Graduate study included courses in English, counseling, and supervision. Mr. Long has taught and counseled in Idaho, Montana, and Arizona. For a brief period he served as stratagen on the administrative staff at Eastern Montana College.

Out of high school, Mr. Long did a stint in the Marine Corps where he played baseball (His squadron won the Far Eastern Championship). He has traveled in Korea, Japan, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Burma in the Orient, and also in Canada and Mexico. His hobbies include backpacking, playing chess, reading good books, writing, listening to music, and watching pro football. (My poor Steelers!)

If you can image a hopeless romantic, a wild-eyed optimist, and a humanistic individualist all combined into one person you would have a good idea of Clint Long. Due to his love of the West and his desire to work with young people (and always remain a student), Mr. Long believes that he will always remain here in this spectacular region. Over the summers, Mr. Long has worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a Crew Boss for the "AD Irregulars" - the renowned Strip Country hot shot firefighting crew.
