His art media include watercolor, acrylic, oil, pen and ink, sculpture, and woodwork. In 1984, Cliff won the National Veterans Art Competition Award for Excellence. He donates original artworks to various Montana charities and fundraising events, and to wildlife organizations and local derbies.
