She continued majoring in illustration at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, which led to a new career opportunity in a Chicago advertising agency. She later enrolled in the BioCommunication Program at the University of Illinois, Chicago, graduated, and began work as a medical and commercial illustrator in the Chicago area. Later she head the Medical Graphics section at the Arizona Health Sciences Center, Tucson, Arizona. Her educational experiences and 27+ year career in illustration and fine art laid a solid foundation to make her expressive, vivid, impressionistic art outstanding. Keeping with her passion, Cindy devotes full time to her art studio to paint the familiar subjects of her surroundings. Her work captures the everyday snap shots of a mood or gesture that may go unnoticed. Oil is her choice medium, which provides the conduit for expressing such snap shots through bold colors. Accompany to these oil paintings are her copper and metal sculptures. These seem to be set in motion with their ribbon like quality.
