My work is all my original photography. Some are sepia toned, as well as black and white work, and color images. I use various mediums to color, and enhance my photos. I use chalk, Marshall’s Oil Color, and watercolor most of the time. I frame all of the work I can in hard to find antique frames.
I have taken these photos at family brandings, rodeos, lambing time and calving. They are all taken in and around Reedpoint, and Big Timber, Montana. The photos are of real people, doing real work. They are all family and friends. I have also spent some time in Yellowstone Park photographing wild life and scenery.
I have always felt that the Fourth of July without a rodeo is like Christmas without a tree and enjoy photographing these events as well.
I hold a BA degree in art, a BA in psychology, and a MA in rehabilitive counseling from Montana State University, Billings, Montana.
I have owned a ranch in Reedpoint, Montana and still maintain a home there. I have spent many hours in a sheep shed, in the saddle and on a tractor.
If I can answer any questions for anyone I will be glad to give them a call, or have them call me.
At this time I have my work displayed at The Common Ground Gallery, Red Lodge, The Depot Gallery, Red Lodge, The Real McCoy Mercantile, Billings, The Yellowstone Art Museum, Billings and Pettit’s Art Gallery on the Web.
