Ireland. Undergraduate work in N. Ireland, England, and United States. Graduate work at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. Ph.D. in American Studies/History. Taught at The Evergreen State College, Olympia, WA, academic administrator at Eveergreen, Wheelock College, Boston, MA, and, currently, The University of Montana Western. I am interested in the work of observing, seeing what's there, not in photographic technology and technique. Digital photography enables me to see twice, once in the field, again at the computer. I do minimal manipulation of my images, however,limiting myself to trimming and color alteration.
