Arabelle Jewelry Design is located in beautiful southwest Montana - a very fortunate place to call home. I am just a hop, skip, and a jump from Yellowstone National Park and the headwaters of the Missouri River.

Beading has been a hobby of mine for over half of my life. I started selling my jewelry at my local farmer's market 7 years ago. My luck was pretty good for just starting out - enough to encourage me to do more. It was also nice making some money to support my ever-increasing bead habit.

In the meantime, I obtained my B.S. and M.S. in Soil Science and a job as a soil scientist with a federal agency. Due to changes in life's circumstances and geography and changes within myself - I found myself really just wanting to pursue my jewelry business. So after convincing my husband that this really was a good idea, especially since we will be starting our family soon, I can now say I design jewelry professionally.

I specialize in using natural materials that include semi-precious stones, pearls, nuts, seeds, wood, shell, and bone. I really love the beauty and inherent variability that natural materials have. I use only sterling silver or purer - no base metals here. Much of the silver is handmade by the Karen Hill Tribe of Thailand. I love the style of their beads, clasps, and pendants and it's also nice to know I am helping to support these people.

It's hard to say what my inspirations are. Designs really just "come to me". Nearly all of my creations are one-of-a-kind. I enjoy challenging myself to constantly come up with new designs. It is also a great feeling to know that you are the only person in the world with a creation like this.

I am a one-woman business so I am involved with each of the items every step of the way - from creation to shipping. I really love what I do and I hope it shows.

You can find and touch my jewelry in person at the following locations:

Salon 33 309 South Broadway Belgrade, MT
Ruby Slippers 626 W Main Bozeman, MT
Big Horn Mountains KOA 63 Decker Road Sheridan, WY

I will also be at the 13th Annual Governors Cup Art & Craft Show at the Helena Walking Mall in Helena, MT on June 2 & 3.
